History
During the past seventeen (17) years, CareProvider.Org Foundation has worked with male and female children/youth, young adults (ages 18 to 21) and their families within the three, 6-Bed residential group home program that was licensed by CA Department of Social Services (CDSS) and contracted with Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Service (DCFS). All the children, youth and young adults in our care were challenging to serve, dually diagnosed, mental health needs, trauma and substance abuse disorders and behaviors. Several of the individuals were also clients of the Regional Center and remained in our program till they turned 21 years, before they transitioned to home placements or Regional Center Programs.
We have coordinated and provided hands on services in the capacity of a Facility Manager/Facility Administrator, and leadership services as a Chief Financial officer and Executive Director. The three 6-Bed Residential Facilities that our Agency ran, were RCL Level 12, which is equivalent to a level 4I. Our goal was to provide health & safety, stability, and permanency as well as emancipation/ Supportive Living Services for the children and young adults. Our specialty, and largest population were young adults from ages 18-21 years. We have established a strong reputation for the quality of work and services of our clients and their families, contract holders, staff, and colleagues. Our program was always at capacity; the children and young adults did not want to leave our Program because of the family/ home environment we always strived to maintain, and the strong bond that existed between consumers and agency staff. This was the trademark of our organization- A Home Away from Home!
The Careprovider.Org Foundation combines its unique set of skills to create a Community Integration Training program to service. Careprovider.org Foundation takes pride and enthusims in its effort to develop a Client-Focused, Culturally Informed, Trauma Informed program.
